charging to much for collect phone call.

By Lonnie Crane, 29 Aug 2008 | Country: United States
I, made a collect phone call from a wal-mart pay phone because i could'nt get it to take my money,You'r company needs to let the caller know in advance how much it will cost. I only talked for a minute, but was charged for them taken so long to put the call through. If i had know the minute i got to talk i would have just drove home would have cheaper. I'm telling everyone i know make sure they don't use your servive it is a ripp off.  14.95 is to much to get to talk to the person for one minute. should't have to pay for someone for 9 minutes telling you they're putting your call through.

I agree.  I accepted one of these calls from my husband.  I was told it would cost $14.95, and not knowing if it was an emergency, I accepted.  He, on the otherhand, was not told it would cost this much (otherwise he would not have placed the call).

Whatever happened to dialing the operator and placing a collect call?

I paid the $14.95, and have the cancelled check to prove it, but the nightmare just began with the overpriced call.  Now they're robo-calling my cell phone 5-6 times every day directing me to their website to pay the bill.  Today the 'call' accused me of "stealing" and advised "they will never stop trying to collect this debt".  A letter to the Indiana AG is forthcoming.  These rats shouldn't be allowed to stay in business.

Anyone know a 'real' number to call QT and speak to a human?
