Don't buy Travelocity Flight Protection insurance

I booked a flight through Travelocity for my business trip. I also purchased the optional Flight Protection insurance because my departure  date could change. Well, I had to change my departure date, so I called Travelocity to cancel the flight.

After waiting on hold for 15 minutes I got a live operator. To my great surprise, she informed me that I don't have flight insurance, and even though I was charged for it (I told her to check this because my bank statement shows the full amount) the insurance didn't go through. What?! She then promptly offered me refund the cost of the flight insurance! I spoke to her supervisor, and 2 other people but I went nowhere. I am submitting my claim to the local attorney general.
