I've just done one week working for Maritz Research (never again!) The "training" is two days unpaid, on the second day you are hassling the public (Unpaid!!) The wage is £6.50 (in Central London) which says loads about the company. They're quite proud of the fact they overbook shifts to send people home. I marked the trainer down on feedback (for being useless, cold and doing her entire training session off a script!) for that every SINGLE call I did was evaluated carefully and marked 2 out of 5. I got a call today sacking me. Truly vile nasty company.
I recently wasted my time by trying to fill out this companies application form.
They ask for all sorts of information, which is ok, but when you are living in a different country than the US, you would think they would not ask for things like your US Social Insurance number, US tax ID and US tax number. Oh yes, let us not forget the US Zip code as well.
Anyhow, it can end up a frustrating time when the form is not accepted because this company has not made changes to the application form for people in other countries.
Hello, i would just like to add that i am a former employee of maritz research. I called and conducted survey's for bank of america. This was in no way a sales call, and it was just a voluntary survey. The FCC and the No Call list do not cover our service since the company is not a "telemarketing" company. You can however ask to be removed from the company's calling list, once the respondent has been verified. If someone does not answer, the number is re added to the registry, so if you are home when you receive the call, it is in your best intrest to answer the call. We have businesses in California, Missouri, and Sazkachuan. I hope this help some.
That your company knew where I last went into the Bank of America caused me concern. When the telephone number given by the Meritz agent for contact with BofA to verify your association was to California Naturalpathic Doctors Assoc. I called B of A to verify your associationand if valid to determine what information about my account was being passed on. These are the kinds of calls that do raise red flags given the increasing failure of even banks to protect customers' accounts from hacking into so called "secure" systems. They are also a contant intrusion which is simply not acceptable, even if legally permitted, to my "do not call" telephone numbers.
That you saying is not true, that company calls every day to my number even after the 30 days of submiting the removal from the system to the point that I contact the bank and I end closing that account with Bank of America. I like to know what is one of you people address.
Even when I pick up the phone, Maritz Research hangs up. Total nuisance calls. If a person is on the no call list, it's stupid for any organization to call them — even if they're not banned fro doing so — because as ANY response to an unwanted call will be negative.
