"Canadian Premier Life Insurance" has been calling my house for months. They give an option to remove your number from their call list by calling (866) 449-4430 but apparently that does not work as I tried it many times.

Here is a list of numbers that are associated with "Canadian Premier Life Insurance".

866 449 4430
514 315 5006
519-346-2518
866-383-0518
506-549-6500
866-689-4952
418-690-8352

Their website, http://www.canadianpremier.ca, has little information on their location and address. I found the following address for this company

80 Tiverton Centre Suite # 500
Markham ON, L3R 0G4

Phone: 905-479-7500
Fax: 905-948-2100

If someone knows how to stop these calls please let me know.

I get their calls too, and they don't leave a message. :o(

I have asked them nicely to stop calling, but until Canada gets a "no call list" for telephone marketers, there is not much we can do, other than to ask them to stop. With a new law, maybe we can sue? Then they might understand then?

    Good luck.

Canada has a no call list: https://cornerstonewebmedia.com/cma/submit.asp
It's maintained by the Canadian Marketing Association.

Also, the phone numbers given are those of the telemarking firm the insurance company does business with, so a call from one of those number might be for something completely different.

I followed the process to remove my number from their list and now am getting 3 and 4 calls a day, rather than a call every day or two.

HBC customers - call 1-866-225-8251 to be removed from their database.  Apparently, if you have put your name on a gift registry, have made a major appliance purchase, or have had a makeover... you're added.

    Potential Solution !!?
I've had these unsolicited sales calls for months as well, the number displayed is: 1-514-876-1307 in Montreal. They don't leave voicemail msgs an even when I answered the call I got dead air for 15 secs and disconnected. After many of these harrassing calls, I called it back: the automated voice msg told me to call 1-866-449-4430 to be removed from the list.
I did that but still got calls. I googled "Canadian premier life complaints"
    and found this link:
    http://www.fcac-acfc.gc.ca/eng/consumers/Comp ... _e.asp?id=CLI10
It's an FCAC consumer complaint site that gives a name and number to register complaints for Canadian Premier Life and Legacy Geberal Ins. Co's.

I called it and complained about the calls and asked to be removed from the calling list. He appologized and said he would expedite removal of my number.
    We'll see.

Is the telemarketer who is doing the calls and owns 514-876-1307. I also got calls from it with dead air and googled the number and found this info. Calls surely come from their Montreal office as its 514 number. Site gives you their contact info.

    www.protocolusa.com.

In Canada, they have two locations and a bunch of other U.S. ones. The website gives you contact info.

I just emailed the CRTC and asked to do something about Canadian Premier Life.  This is a stupid company with nothing else better to do with their time.  I hope the CRTC sues and they go bankrupt.

I don't know if it will help, but my provider gave me the following link to leave my coordinates and they said that in 95% of the cases it will work.  Good luck until the law becomes into effect.

Before I ever was allowed to sell any insurance products to anyone, I had to get an insurance license by studying and passing several tests.  From the looks of the above, it doesn't ask for any licensed insurance agents.

Ya I get these calls too from 514-876-1307 to my cell. This is someone we deal with giving out (selling) our person info to whoever wants it, at a cost. They are out of luck if they think they will ever get to me I don't answer any calls from Quebec.

Second, I don't answer any number I don't know. For these clowns I just open and close my cell phone. They will usually stop calling in 6 months or so, they don't give up easily. LOL! Seriously now, if someone calling doesn't or will not leave a message, I will never talk to them. If they ever figure out that leaving a message is much like showing 'respect' they may even increase their sales! LOL

    Dear Mr. O’Hoski,

I found your information on a complaint website about your company. I am really getting tired of the constant calls from your company. There is never anyone on the other end of the line.  I wish to be taken off of the call list IMMEDIATELY, not in 30 days… If I receive anymore calls I will make my complaint to the CRTC and I will contact a lawyer and sue your company for all the time wasted on my cell phone. Every time your computers call my number, I am charged  by my cell company. I am keeping all call records.

TAKE ***-***-**** OFF OF YOUR CALL LIST IMMEDIATELY.

    Thank you

    And the response:

1.wait for the 15 sec silence
2.then when person starts to talk
    3. get the air horn ready
    4. Blow their eardrums out
amazingly they call from a different number each time funny thing is I have not received any calls in about 60 days or so...
