Telephone number shown on caller ID is 208-864-5339.  I am registered on the "Do Not Call" list and have been for years; however, this bogus company continues to call regardless of what I do.  It begins with a   recorded message "This is Heather of Account Services; I am calling regarding your credit card account.  Consider this your last chance to take advange of this offer.  If you do not wish to receive these calls, please press 2 now.  If you wish to speak to a representative, press 1 now."  I have pressed "2" numerous times but they continue to call.  I have pressed "1" and asked the "representative", a man, to stop calling me.  I have asked to speak to his manager, etc.  When I dial the 208 number, I get a recording, made by the man who I talked with, saying that the number has been changed and to check the directory.  Obviously this message is not recorded by the telephone co.  I am trying to find out the name of the company.

I have been having this exact same experience, repeatedly.... and I am the type of person who always answer his phone... It's getting pretty annoying.... I'd love to know how to stop it from happening.

I have had three of these calls today.  I think the federal government should do something to stop this.

I have filed a complaint, with record keeping, to the federal do not call registry and the state (CA) do not call registry to no avail.  We have been getting these calls for over a year and it seems no one can do anything about it.  I answer my phone when it rings and it is a huge interruption. Having taken all possible steps to stop this harassment it seems my only recourse is to let my answering machine pick up.

I have the same problem.  I would like to nail these people but I don't have the time to investigate.  Does anyone know quick way to register a complaint with someone who can actually do something?

I have received these too.  I have been on National Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) and filed complaints with them.  Please do this too.  Also I have contacted ATT and they have added SmartLimits to my account ($5/month) but given me credit once for 3 months and once for 2.  I have talked to them to stress that they need to act on behalf of there consumers.  Make sure you take the steps to file complaints with DNCR and with your phone provider.

I to have received these calls several times.  I have tried four times to get them to take me off of their list but every time I get hung up on.  In fact the last time they called I told them that the person who's phone they called had just passed away...we will see if that stops the calls.  I doubt it though cause they still hung up on me.  I have also reported them a couple times on the national do not call registry web site.  The best thing to do is report them on that web site and the next time you see an odd number that might be them DON'T ANSWER IT!  Some of these telemarketing people get paid for and receive credit just for getting you to answer their call which is why they don't seem to care about hanging up on you.  So if we all report them and stop answering their calls maybe they will give up and stop.

These guys just won't stop, nothing seems to work. Even reporting them to the "Do Not Call Registry." Asking them stop, screaming at them to stop, nothing works. So you can be these people are 100% scammers.

From what I've researched so far, they are trying to get credit card information from you so they can hit you with a fee. What ever you do, don't give them CC information!

I'm keeping track of the call now and so far I've gotten:

      Date/Time                         Number                    CID Text
      09/13/2012 – 10:41am    503-457-1085        Lower Interest
      09/19/2012 – 12:17pm    507-540-0492        Lower Interest
      09/25/2012 – 9:26am        417-800-2351        Card Services
      09/25/2012 – 10:31am    609-318-9785        Card Services
      10/032012 – 10:32am        786-358-5551        Card Services
      10/03/2012 – 1:18pm        507-540-0492        Card Services

In fact, I'm so tired of these calls I just started a petition to send to the FCC.

I have gotten 2-3 such calls per week for several months, most from a caller ID of "Card Services," but always with a different phone number ID. Months ago I punched through and found out I was not eligible, so I asked to have my phone number taken from their list, and was assured it would be. But the calls have kept coming, and twice more I asked to be removed from their list. Then, the most recent call was a doozy. I told the woman that I had asked three times to be taken off their list. She responded, "I don't care if you have called three times. I don't give a [***]."

      Real professionals, these people.

Yes this has been going on for years. Yes this is a scam. Yes this has been reported to the FCC.The FCC told me it was not their problem. The FCC told me to get in touch with the FTC (Federal Trade Comm.)The Federal Trade Comm.told me to get in touch with the (Attorney General Office)The people who have been calling you have several other numbers as well. The telephone lines are owned by A.T.T. They will not do anything about it either.WOW ! What a joke the American people has to put up with. No one wants to do anything.I wonder if our Gov. is in on this as well. All the numbers these people use are spoofed   718-416-6122    213-375-0057  Don't bother to call no one will answer It shows up as Card Services or a long lines of numbers and or letters. If you are with Time Warner Don't bother to change your number they will get the new number as well.Makes me wonder about Time Warner.

So, I finally went through the process and played along if, for no other reason, than to eat up their time.  It worked.  She finally figured out I was rattling her cage, and unleashed a bunch of expletives.  She said "I'm going to keep calling you all day long, you *)(*)(&*^".  I told her "Fine, I'm obviously enjoying this".  Well, she called me one more time, cussed me out.  I responded with a hearty laugh, saying keep the calls coming, this is fun.  They didn't call me again.  Well, not for another two or three months.  This is obviously a very tricky bunch, hard to get rid of.  Perhaps the best thing we can do is fight them back by wasting their time.  If nothing else, perhaps it will help teach the people who work for them that we're not as stupid as they think we are.  Got to run, phone is ringing.

I am so sick of these [***].  This is a good idea.  The FTC told me not to press any buttons, don't even answer the phone.  But in order to find out who is calling, you have to interrupt whatever you were doing to walk over to see the CID.  Very irritating.  But I like your idea of f*ing with them, taking up as much of their time as possible.  I just might try that next time they call...2-3 months of no phone calls is a welcome relief compared to the 2-3 calls every single day I get from these [***].  I have tried telling them they have been added to my lawsuit for violating the DNC list.  One idiot named Richard even went so far as to say, "There's no such thing as a Do Not Call list."  Twit!

Next call is to my State Attorney General and then a plaintiff attorney to sue the pants off these [***].  I have bookmarked this page and will share it with the attorney I hire to sue, own and shut down their business.  From the looks of all these posts, it seems I will be pretty popular if I'm successful.
