question is...if all I am doing is changing the phone number and reactivating the same phone that I own (personally purchased last year), why couldn’t I keep the same plan I have been using for years? Why do I have to sign a new contract when I specifically stated I do not want a contract? I was told then I would have to do pay as you go.

The ONLY reason I got a new phone was that the upgrade for a new phone was no charge, and the charge to hook up was free. I needed something handy for business.I used the old phone for my son, so I have 2 phones in my name.
Activation fee was posted at the store to be no cost, but
Mar 23 Activation Fee35.00 for old phone was charged.
I called a rep on the phone to make sure this was not going to be a problem with my other new phone as well.
Because the internet would not show any information about my account,as I knew it would be shown the next bill. It was affirmed by phone charges would all show on my next bill. (I asked specifically because of issues with being charged when I was told I would not get charged years ago, yet I was billed and had to pay). I was told that this was not a promo from Rogers it must have been with the dealer and I needed to talk with them.Why post something that wont be reflected or honored?

I also changed my plan on old phone, so that I had 400 min rather than 150 min the moment I saw the time go over. And although there was no problem adjusting my plan with the new phone on line before, it will not let me change my old phones plan. Thus I will go over time even more. The internet also doesn’t show the phone numbers called, so how am I supposed to monitor? I arranged my phones plan so that I could monitor because my son is special needs. However, services are not available on line for me to help him with his usage.I paid the bill right away, and today I am still trying to monitor on line with no success. I cannot even complete his my5 because I don’t have a record of the phone numbers he uses.
Id rather pay off the cancellation than be swindled for more money. I feel like some Big company's holding me hostage. But then my credit rating goes down because they cannot act in good faith.
