not giving full amount

I have been playing the King games - Candy crush jelly - candy crush soda          I have just in this last week and on previous occasions before purchased additional plays     I am very confused - it asks if you want to play on 16 additional plays or 9, etc. and the only thing that it submits into the additional playing is 5 - so no matter how many times I have paid out $ for all these additional times I would hope to finish the game (no matter how many I had paid for) it resets the plays to 5, but yet takes the additional 9 or 16 or how many I am agreeing to add on to the game       I hope this makes sense.   Just very confused and I feel all the money I have spent I should atleast get the amount of additional plays I paid for
