I noticed a charge against my debit card from this company GRC*Sheer Cover - I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THEM.  Called them and they told me they had an order with MY NAME, MY ADDRESS but a different phone number(??).  Now this "stuff" that I never ordered is going to show up at my house and I have to send it back?? They said they canceled my "account" (never HAD an account) and credited my card.  WE WILL SEE.  I already reported the fraudulent charge to my credit card company.  WATCH OUT!!!

Contact your bank immediately to dispute any unauthorized charge and block the card number.

It is generally not safe to depend on a merchant known for making unauthorized charges to voluntarily return it

The easiest way to return an unauthorized shipment is to just not accept it.  Even if delivered, you can hand it back to USPS, UPS, or FedEx, etc, and as long as the package is unopened, they will send it back at no charge to you.

If you have any problems getting billed for unordered merchandise, file fraud disputes with FTC, your state AG, and the US Postal Inspector.  Sending a bill for unordered merchandise violates postal regulations.  It is mail fraud.

I did report to my financial institution.  Even though this charge was small, I am taking it personally!!  FTC and Postal Service will be notified.  Thanks for the advice.  It seems this company has quite the extensive track record of questionable business practices (Google it sometime!!!).  AVOID GRC!!!

I just had the same experience with GRC*SHEER COVER.  In my case I had a charge for $9.95 to my wife's debit card.  I called the bank, disputed the charge and had the debit card cancelled.  A few days later I got another charge for $37.94.  I called the bank and asked why they're allowing additional charges on a cancelled card?!  ...they said that they have to allow such charges because it could be for a "contract" (such as a health club membership).  I was absolutely stunned to find this out.  So beware, when your credit/debit card number is stolen.  Not only do you want to call the bank and cancel the card.  You have to call all the vendors that were able to successfully charge BEFORE it was closed.  Try to get them to close the fraudulent "accounts" and reverse the charges.

Apparently I have been being charged $57/mo for the past 8 months for a product I've never heard of. Getting the same run around from GRC that most people on this forum have had to endure. Any advice or a phone number where I can reach a human being?
