I had my Chase credit card enrolled with others in a debt management program. Chase reported the incorrect balance to the debt company so when they stopped paying Chase, there was actually about $200.00 left. Chase did not notify me of this. When I discovered this and talked with the debt management company, they said that Chase would have to work something out since they reported the wrong balance.

When I called, the Customer Service Rep I got was extremely rude and unprofessional, by far the WORST I ever dealt with. She absolutely refused to work out a payment plan with me. She kept saying "there's nothing the bank will do for you." I told her I never received any alert from them showing I still had an outstanding balance. She claimed they had sent something plus said I should read my monthly statements. The account was being handled by the debt company, and my monthly statements always showed the amount being paid, so why suddenly do I have to start tracking my statements when Chase was supposed to be doing that for me with the debt company. I told her that her lack of providing me options was unacceptable and was told I would have to accept it. I became angry and she immediately said she would hang up if I kept being angry. You cannot disconnect a customer on the phone unless they are cursing, and I was not using any bad language at all. It just proved that all she wanted to do was get me off the phone.

I work in Customer Care myself for a travel company, and I know I would be fired if I treated one of my customers like this lady treated me. Chase bank solicited me for a credit card at a young age (while I was in high school), kept increasing my limit (which at a young nieve age encouraged me to spend and they KNEW it)... then when I'm all grown up and learn that I have to manage debt... they won't help me over a measly $200 that I wouldn't still owe them in the first place had they provided the correct info to the debt management company. Chase is nothing but a big, greedy bank and credit card issuer that cares about the bottom line and not its customers. There is a Chase call center in the city I live in and I applied for a job there once back when it was Bank One... glad I didn't get it. Couldn't live with myself if I worked for such a place.

Never, ever do business with Chase. If you have Chase credit cards, do everything you can to get them paid off or transfer your balances. If something goes wrong and you have debt with them, they will NOT help you. I will do everything I can to encourage people never to use Chase Bank!

    Hate Chase
    Try having an auto loan through chase. That's an even bigger headache. They are trying to repo my vehicle for missing one payment and the repo company they've requested is acting like they are the police and using false accusatioins as to who they are. I HATE chase in the worst possible way!!!
