Yes, I finally answered and someone from India said my Macy's acct was overdue and wanted to have my credit card number over the phone. I hung up and checked my bill online, since they don't mail bills any longer. I did owe money so I paid it instantly online. This scam org is finding the Macy's statements somehow and then calling people. I wonder why Macy's hasn't reported that their database has been hacked.

I just got a similar call - the person called himself Justin Warren but he had a thick accent from SE Asia...
I already mailed in my check to Macy's (granted, 1 week late) and am AMAZED that somehow these scammers know I was late. What's funny is the whole reason I had to mail a check was because for 3 weeks I have been unable to log in to my account on Macys.com, so definitely, Macy's was hacked, and I am pretty upset they haven't owned up to it.
It makes me want to close my account with Macy's.

After reading the comments, I'm convinced, time to get rid of Macy's card. Strictly cash or my personal CC. Looking at how Target was hacked and what they now have to do to regain customers' trust and business - Macy's Bloomies isn't taking any chances, - but honesty would be appreciated.

Macy's must have been hacked! I don't owe them any money just received a call - when you call back they want your account # and your Social Security Number.
