Got a similar call today asking to give the FCN Number or get it done via a representative by paying the
money to avoid deportation. At some point during the call, I found out this is a scam and when I asked her to confirm additional details, the line got disconnected after a pause.Thanks to this forum for posting this info as it helped me confirm the scam.

    This is the latest shakedown scam, probably brought to you by overseas Indian VoIP scammers.

    It started showing up in complaints several months back, and appears to be run by the same types playing the fake "debt collection" shakedowns and fake "government grant" scams.

    This is a similar pattern to the "debt collection" and "government grant"  scams, which use victim info from sleazy or fake "payday loan" websites.

    Sources of victim information appear to be real (or possibly fake) job sites.
    Have you recently posted any of your information on job sites, and if so, which ones?
    What information did she appear to already have, and did that match what you posted?

    I also received a phone call (Homeland Security)asking for FCN number saying i need to get it from US embassy in Delhi. And she was telling me that she cannot drop the call until she receive the FCN number. She told me that she can help me to get it from US consulate Delhi if i pay money. Then i got a doubt about the call and i dropped it.

      i received same things and i did police complain about the scam also i loos my 810 dollar. i believed and i had gave to him.

    i received today call and they asking me FCN number and i told that i did not received so you are not eligible for stay in USA.
