We ordered a piece of furniture from urbanhom.com (they recently changed their name to lightgreydesign but any urbanhom web link will take you there) and it took over six months to arrive.  When it did, it was not the same thing we ordered and missing a $200 piece.  Just Google their name and you will find many similar complaints.  They have a BBB rating of F.

I, and others have filed complaints with the MN Attorney General.

    We too were scammed by this company.  Long delivery delay (4 months) and wrong item.  They will not answer email or phone inquiries.

    Stay far away from this company.

    In June 2010 I ordered a Wagenfeld Bauhaus Lamp from "http://www.urbanhom.com". A few months ago that website has been closed down and the identical site is now advertizing at "http://www.lightgreydesign.com/" - including the use of the same listed telephone numbers. As of today I have not received the lamp. Email inquiries generate an automatic response which is never followed up with a substantive answer. Calls are never answered. As tempting as the price and item displayed is, do not waste your money.  After posting the above review on JabberJabber early March URBANHOM / LIGHTGREYDESIGN sent an email that the merchandise is being shipped.  Today, April 19, 2011 the merchandize still has not arrived.     Additionally, do not count on having the money returned.

    About two weeks ago I received an email asking if I still wished to receive the original order of a Wagenfeld Bauhaus Lamp.  I responded that I do.  On Friday, May 20, the promised box arrived – more than 10 months late.  Nonetheless, the lamp is as described and is working properly.  In my case it seems that, if you have the time to wait and if you are willing to spend the time on line to write the appropriate reviews while waiting, the company will deliver - eventually.   I am quite satisfied with the lamp.  Unfortunately, the less than forthcoming responses I received during my long wait soured my attitude towards ordering any other items from this company.

    We too were taken to the cleaners by LightGreyDesign aka Urbanhom. Feel free to read my post just "Google" LightGreyDesign complaints and it will pop up.  Do not give your hard earned money to Shane,there are many reputable companies out there that would be glad to service you.  Make sure you read all the complaints "Google" LightGreyDesign complaints and Urbanhom complaints this will give you an idea of how this company operates.  Don't forget the BBB of MN&ND 35 complaints, many of them unanswered, and if he tries to tell you his customer service has improved take a look at the dates of the complaints.  If he had truly improved his customer service there would not be complaints dating May, June, and July of 2011.
