annoying phone calls/profanity

We have received calls from "Credit Card Services" several times and we usually just ignore them. Yesterday I decided to answer the call to request they stop calling us as we are on the "do not call list". The robo call directed for me to press 1 to speak with a live operator. Anthony answered. I politely asked if he would remove our number and he responded by asking me, "Would it be o.k. if I licked your ti--y." The call shows up as "service message,302-394-9557" on the caller id. I dialed it back, but received a recording stating the number was disconnected. The call originated from Delaware, but they probably have people calling from different locations as well. Not only are their calls a nussiance; I am highly upset they are vulgar with people who do not want to go along with their scam. I am particularly upset that they can keep getting away with this as I see that others have complained for serveral years. I am also filing a complaint with the FTC.

In addition, there are recent reports they have allegedly "sold" these "accounts" to some new outfit, that is now cramming through charges for "taxes and administrative fees", even on old accounts.
There are some complaints reporting that they back off when confronted by an inquiry from a state Attorney General.

persist. Today I pressed #1 to speak with someone to ask how to stop these call. I politely asked the woman who can I speak with to stop these calls and I heard a click. She hung up on me so I guess the alternative is to give them the same response the next time I get a live person on the line. They're nothing more than ignorant scoundrels. Maybe we should all start giving them all kinds of ficticious information and maybe they would get the message. The FTC doesn't seem to be interested in stopping these harrassing calls either.
Are people really so stupid that they are giving these scammers their personal info which leads to phone scam being an easy money maker for these crooks?
