Purchased washing machine from Whirlpool in 2005.  The machine lasted until 2010.  Needed to have several parts replaced in those 5  years.  Then in 2010 replaced with another Whirlpool and second machine needed parts replaced within 3 years.  I spent over 1500.00 in 7 years on 2 machines, both machines needed new parts and I called customers service and they said they couldn't do anything for us.  Never will buy Whirlpool again.

    If you want a final machine then buy Speed Queen, nothing but great reviews online from consumers.  I saw one in person & they are solidly built in the USA, none of that HE & computerized cheap crap that breaks shortly after the warranty.  Speed Queen say's their W&D's will last you over 20 yrs & I believe that.  They have a 3 yr bumper to bumper warranty while everyone else only offers 1 yr.  Not sold in the chain stores only at independent appliance dealers, go to speedqueen.com under "home laundry" to find a dealer near you.
