It's just a fake "debt collection" scam.
They are a bunch of liars, probably crooks running this scam from India.
Ignore them, even if they call and harass you.
Tell them you are recording their calls for the FBI.

If they send out a million emails, and get calls from one in 1000, they have 1000 people to try to con.  Tha't's no shortage of suckers.  Probably pays off enough to be worth doing.

Debt collectors are expected to engage in a wide range of harassing practices, and even though they are illegal, it is credible to many that anyone doing that is a legitimate debt collector.

I have just now forwarded this same email to my attorney general's office in my state. Something has to be done to stop these people. They even call people's family members and tell them the same thing. Someone that know no better could have a heart attack over something like this! I am filling out a formal complaint, also.

Well I was upset at first, got the same letter but a different amount I also got a call about a family member.
I told the individual that I will just call my law because I did not get any money from this company.  He reply well see you in court then we will.  This is unfair to people that do not know what is going on and some people have financial problems and this can make them feel worst and can cause someone to have a heartattack from these people this needs to stop.
