We were remodeling our kitchen in January 2014 and took the "opportunity to change out our appliances.  I chose Whirlpool gas range, microwave and dishwasher.  Within 12 hours of installing the range, I had to call the retailer.  The oven, when it heated up and cooled down, would bang.(like a shotgun going off in your kitchen) They said "I've never had that happen". Long story short.  The liner pan between the oven and burners has been replaced twice, we have had five service calls and countless phone calls to whirlpool.  The service people at whirlpool say this is normal and with time the "banging" will quit,  REALLY?  I did not buy this range with this feature in mind.  Based on the poor quality of service, attitude and response from whirlpool, I will never buy their product again and nor should the general public.  DO NOT BUY Whirlpool range model WFG231
