Misleading warranty

We purchased a reclining love seat and matching sofa, a big man's recliner and another recliner.  The middle board of the sofa snapped in half the first time someone sat down on it.  They are saying it's not covered as abuse.  Since the sofa is a dual recliner the middle seat was never used.  The reclining mechanism on the loveseat is also bent.  The small recliner was delivered and not properly assembled.  The delivery person was questions and said that's how it should be - gap between the arm and back of the chair.  The on site repair tech, Brad, indicated he'd cover the couch and recliner.  When I called in to get this scheduled I was told his reports calls it all abuse.  We have no small children in our home.  We are two adults.  This is not the warranty I was sold by the Battle Creek store sales person.  I am highly dissatisfied with their mistruths and lack of customer service.  If anyone can offer means to address this, I would appreciate the input.
