fraudulent charges to the tune of $700 showed up on my bank statement last night.  fortunately, i check the accounts several times a day and cancelled the check card associated with the fraudulent charges.  

do NOT call the number listed with the fraudulent charges, it won't help.  calling apple or i-tunes will only get you "sorry...not our problem".  your bank will help you handle this by initiating an investigation into the charges and some banks (like mine) will indemnnify you from fraudulent charges if they are promptly reported.

from my net research this has been happening to many many people for more than a year and apple/i-tunes refuses to deal with the problem.  i never did like apple/mac/i-pod/etc. and now, i'll file with every consumer protection agency and the state attorney general's office, local police and anyone else i can think of with APPLE as the target.  maybe that will get them to pay attention, but i doubt it.  

so much for apple security.
