We decided to go with the Maytag MDB5600A Jetclean II Built-in Dishwasher when we bought our house two years ago. I can't recommend this applience, and doubt I will ever buy anything with the Maytag tag on it.
First, the regular cycle is over two hours long. Also, we bought this model because Maytag advertises it as a quite one. Well, my previous dish-washing machine was much quieter and much older. The long cycle and the noise make it difficult to enjoy our TV in the family room.
Two months ago the door handle shattered, making it impossible to open the dishwasher. We called a repairman and paid $100 for a door to be fixed. The fix took 10 minutes and the repair guy told us that this is the most common problem with this model.
I am not advising people to buy Maytag dish-washers. They don't meet people's expectations and are pricier than better models.
