Dish is suing me for $412.00 for not hooking up to their internet when they turned it on at the net?

I was having problems with Century Link three years ago in March and I called Dish Satellite to ask about their internet. They said yes they had it and would turn it on at their site called the net.  Apparently I did not think it was turned on because it never worked and after two days I called Century LInk and they came out to the box and fixed the problem when I was not home.  I called Dish back and told them I did not want their service because I had my old service back and they told me I was liable for this service because they had turned it on at the net not at my home. They wanted to come into my home to check my wiring? I told them I was the only one in the home and worked full time and was unable to be here and I did not want their service so If they had turned it on at the net please turn it off because I never had used it.  They threatened that I would have to pay a turn off service fee when I never used their service????? I could not believe it and said to just turn it off at the net. I am not paying a service fee for what I never used.!!!!      THREE YEARS LATER I AM RECEIVING FEE BILLS FOR $412 AND I DO NOT BELIEVE I SHOULD PAY IT.  I Spoke to the collections department and they said TOO BAD! YOU ASKED FOR OUR SERVICE AND YOU HAVE TO PAY THIS BILL?  HOW DO I SUE THEM PLEASE?
NO NOTICES FOR THREE YEARS AND THEN BEING SENT TO COLLECTIONS????NOT FAIR.      I NEED HELP.
