Called and left a VM regarding a location service for an outstanding creditor and if I don't respond they will contact my references. But I know I was current and I did return their call and I quickly determined that the place was a scam and hung up.

    They have lots of similar complaints..
    They appear to be playing the usual "Buffalo" shakedown game:
    1)  Calling to pretend they're "trying to locate" to imply maybe a "process server", to imply a "lawsuit".
    2)  Calls to relatives, or threats of calls to relatives, designed to embarrass and panic people into paying money without proof. Use of deception and threats to evade verification.
    3)  No "information" on the alleged "old payday loan"
    4)  Nothing by mail, even though FDCPA requires a "g" letter be sent within 5 days of first contact.
    5)  Complaints are consistently reporting allegations are false and "debt" is fake.
