I have been receiving threatening phone calls for the past two days from some Indian guy by the name of "Mark" from the Jackson Law Firm threatening a pending lawsuit, telling me there is a warrant out for my arrest, pull money from my checking account, contacting my employer etc. etc.   They claim to have my social security number, they have my work and cell phone numbers and are calling me every five minutes.  I could barely understand him but his phone number is 786-533-3031 and was very agitated when I asked him who he represented and when I told him I did not owe "Payday Cash Advance" any money he continued to talk at warp speed and told me they would proceed to sue me and hung up.

I worked for the police department for 7 years and know that they do not arrest you for a civil suit, you have to be served ...on and on.

I'm turning them into the District Attorney's office and anyone else I can think of.

Thank you all for your commments.  I feel better now...

I just got a message from a guy named "eric mendez". He called from an unknown number today and told me that he was a legal process server and that i had two hours to contact him back to get this solved. he left me the number of 877-230-6756. he told me that i had a fraud check and that i was going to be served with papers and that he would come to my place of business and my home if i didnt call back in two hours. that was at 1:30. i was at work all day and nothing happened and when i called back at 9:30 that night, the phone rang and it said the ACS offices. what is this acs? i never got a chance to speak to anyone. It kinda freaked me out cause i dont want to go to jail for something for a check cashing place but they shouldnt threaten people like that. i mean i come home to hear something like that? wow. just wanted to give my little input on this

I have had this happen three times now over the past 2 years.  they even called my work and threatened my boss.  I have been told by our local police department that this is a scam which the FBI continually shuts down, but they reopen in different places with in days.  They will try to scare you into "settling" their claim.  Many people are scared and will wire them money or allow them to take it from their checking accounts.Don't give them any thing!
Answer or call them back!  Tell them that you will not be scammed, that you are reporting them to the FTC and the Attorney General.  Let them know that you know they will get caught and shut down because they have before.  I even give them the name of my attorney(just pick a name and phone number, they give fake ones why can't you?!).  They will keep trying to interrupt you, but give them the same rude, fast talk they give you, don't let them interrupt you.  They usually hang up before I even finish and don't call again atleast not for 6 or so months.
    Good luck!

I have been warning people on as many sites and threads I can find about these scumbag scammers. Don't give them any information. I know it's frustrating when they are calling family, friends and your employer. The best thing to do is to tell them you are recording the conversations, the FBI is involved and file reports with the FBI, FTC and Attorney General for your state. The FBI has information about this scam on their site. Unfortunately, if they continue to harass your family and/or friends, the only remedy may be to have them change their number. It seems these idiots call off and on a few times a year. As far as your employer, have them tell these morons you don't work there. I told my Mother to tell them I am deceased for them to stop calling. Don't pay them a dime and don't give any info. Call them back and question them about their company, address, website address, how long they have been in business, who the loan is through and their address, when the loan was taken out, etc. By the time you get to the fourth or fifth question, they will most likely hang up. If all else fails, tell them to go to hell, their call has been traced and hang up.

I was getting calls from them about three months ago, I finally called a policeman and he talked to them he said it took him about 15 minutes to actually convince them that he was law enforcement then they starting cussing and swearing at him, and hung up on him.  I took it upon myself, to keep calling them back over and over finally they  blocked my number and I haven't heard from them until this morning at 8:00 A.M. Tomorrow I shall begin the reverse harassment.  I am fed up with these idiots, I also always tell them I am recording the conversation.

I also had them cussing at me, after arguing with them. I have tried telling them I'm the police. That they have contact my town's police station. and I even went as far as to have my boss tell them I died, and they still call.

I received a call yesterday from an agent Jackson at my job stating that if I did not return her call within the hour they would be coming to arrest me for defaulting on a pay day loan. I returned the call and it was a company called ACS.  The man I spplease with said I owed over 800 dollars on a pay day loan that I had defaulted on. I told him I was not paying that amount and by the end of the conversation he agreed to accept $300 which was the original amount. I explained what had happened and told him that the company had agreed to accept $120 as payment in full. I asked him to send me a copy of his offer but still have not received anything from him. They try and use scare tactics and left that message on my office phone. They are real jerks!

I have been dealing with these guys for well over a year now. They started by calling my place of empolyment, 2-3x a day. Now I'm getting emails saying I'm being sued and going to jail for violating federal banking regulation, collateral check fraud, theft by deception and (quoting,) "And the biggest one is E.F.T. that is electronic fund transfer. How do I get these to stop? I even had to go so far as to change my phone number, and they somehow got it again. What the heck is going on? I'm extremly frustraited.

Dont give them any information no matter what they say they have on you, they wont come to your house even if they say they will, they are frauds and are trying to take your money illegally. I never took out a loan yet they harass and harass. Block their number.

I have been harassed by a guy named "Jason Lee". He calls constantly. Like one call on top of the other. At first I was so scared. I had no idea how I was gonna come up with the money to settle out of court. And then their story started getting confusing.  One day mr. assbag would say ome thing and the next he would say something different. I was told I was being charged for check fraud.  And then he started threatening me. Telling me be would have me arrested. And he would get me fired (I am a stay at home mom. How can I be fired? Seriously!!!) There were some other threats in there. I think. His accent is so thick its hard to understand him.  Plus every time I ask how much it is that I owe the amount changes. It started at $3000+ then went to $700 then went down to $620 then went up to #1200. Its all over the map. I asked if tbey could send me a copy of the file they had only me so that I could see in  writing what I supposedly did. Their answer was that for legal reasons the only thing they could send me was a subpoena with a cop escort. Tbey also call on wierd numbers like 1836c737197a6155c. I mentioned that I didn't believe they were legit cuz the number he called on was wonky. He hung up on me and called me back immediately on the florida number. He calles all the time. Constant never ending phone calls. I counted ome day how mamy times he called and it was 58. 58!! And that was only from like 8 a.m. to about 6 p.m. (They had to take a lunch break apparently or the number of calls would be in the 100's.) I finally had my fiancee listen in on a call. He was like "whoa. There is something not right with his story. You should google the number". I am SO glad I Googled before I broke down and paid. Bunch of scammers.  Stupid [***]. I wish there was a way for me to rob thir company blimd.

I have been receiving these calls again. The last time I got one I told them I was recording the call and they hung up. I guess they are on the prowl again because I noticed that I received three calls last week and today I finally answered and Johnny Blue wanted to pass me to his supervisor Kevin Spards who told me I owed Cash Advance and I told him I had no outstanding loan balances and would get my paper work to confirm. He said shall I wait until tonight to call you back and I told him do not call me again and it was illegal for him to be harassing me at work. He promptly said okay okay and hung up. Called from a 543.465.4768 and left his # as 347.418.0507
