I've already been warned and had similar conversations with thier company under similar names....
Raven wanted to know if I wanted her to pull the director out of the studio to speak with me. Like she was doing me a favor
She had no idea if there was a cost?
She started to have an attitude when I asked a few questions
    Don't you work there Raven???
    SCAM SCAM SCAM
Raven(is that your real name?) Get a real job!

I don't understand what all these postings are about. I watch The Balancing Act a few times a week. So there's some money involved? What wrong with that? Where I come from, that's called marketing.

I love the show and can't wait until January when Denise Austin joins the show!!!

There is nothing wrong with the actual show, and someimes I enjoy it.  However, when you are on the receiving end of the countless phone calls to ask you to give them money to appear on the show it can become very annoying!!!  Today I actually had one of the producers Andrea Tromer call and insist she had a scheduled appointment with me not knowing I actually answered the phone myself Not my receptionist) She was very rude!!  I know I didn't schedule any such appointment as I am very familiar with their practice.  Is that what they do to other unfortunate employees who have the misfortune of answering their calls?  Poor taste!!  If I say NO THANK YOU I MEAN NO THANK YOU! Please don't continue with the harrassment...

Just keep in mind when you watch that all of these segments are paid for by the company they are promoting during the segment.

    MY CASE
At the end of August 2009 I was contacted by Mark Knoncsol who presented me with an exciting proposal to have my product featured on television. Mark promised that Quorum would produce a 3-4 minute feature segment and that it would aired at least 20 times on national TV and shown in at least 80 million households. I needed the exposure but made told Mark several times that no matter how good the offer sounded I couldn’t afford it.
Mark Knoncsol called several times more times each time pressuring me more and more and proposed “special payment terms”. I explained to him that the $30,000 was more than we had spent on advertising over the past three years combined.
Mark Knoncsol kept insisting that this was my “big break”. I explained to him that I didn’t even have a third of the first payment in my account and that I would know in about a week if I could raise the money. He assured me that if there was a problem Quorum would work with me. He called several more times and pressured me into signing the agreement on September 9, 2009.
My cell phone records show that I called Quorum Productions several times between September 16 and October 5. I told Mark Knoncsol several times I didn’t have the money and couldn’t afford to go forward and asked him to cancel the Production Authorization Agreement (PAA). It was within two weeks of signing agreement and Quorum Productions had not done any work or incurred any expenses related to the production of my segment. Mark insisted it was too late and told me to borrow the money that they couldn’t just cancel the agreement.
QUORUM PRODUCTIONS & O2 MEDIA has a legal division called LEGAL SERVICES GROUP, LLC. . This group is now suing my company in Broward Circuit Court for $30,000. Quorum Productions never did any work for me and I do not owe them any money. I never signed any contract with Legal Services Group and they filed a law suit against me.

I regret the day I got the first phone call from QUORUM PRODUCTIONS I wish I would have told Mark Knoncsol to never call me again. I regret being pressured into signing the “Production Authorization Agreement” knowing it was going to take a miracle to come up with the money to pay for it.
This lawsuit has caused me a huge amount of stress, made my heart condition worse and has damaged my company’s reputation.
In the past two days I have done extensive research on O2 MEDIA and QUORUM PRODUCTIONS AND LEGAL SERVICES and their other 20 companies.
It’s amazing how much information you can find on the internet. The more I read the angrier I got.
It’s now clear that I am just one of many companies that have been pressured into signing agreements. I have listed a few of the links on the cover email for your review.

    This Is Silly
Folks, I'm watching the show (The Balancing Act) for the first time now, and I admit: I am not exactly a fan of these peppy women, or the products they sell.

But the fact is, they are selling products. And that is OKAY. The products are geared toward women and families -- what's wrong about that? And the people and/or companies that pay to be on the show get to say they are on Lifetime, and then post that video on their websites, use it for marketing, etc. And this is wrong why? It isn't. If a company feels that they are getting value for the airtime, that is their choice.

Sorry, doesn't sound like a "scam" to me.

    Stop Calling!
We made the mistake of speaking with them once, ever since then we have told them numerous times to take us off their call list and each time they are rude, so rude that this last time they called I'm on here writing about them!  STAY AWAY!

    Smelling the Coffee
Coffee Mom and Super Mom are likely the same person - both Brandstar plants. It may be on Lifetime's website but it's never been on in my area (major market).

Then again, I'm asleep between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. when the show probably airs...

RUN, don't walk from these bad people!

    Reference Anyone
Well then Mr. or Ms. Success Story: You should have no problem posting the name and contact information for your Company to give as a reference, since you claim to have "gotten your money's worth!"

I guess you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all....

    Oh Brother
It's not a show it's an infomercial. Ask THEM how much YOU will be paid to appear, and see how quickly you learn the difference!

Stay calm, collect your thoughts and write down a chronology of your experiences. Make a copy for your records, then send a registered letter to the Florida Attorney General's office with a copy to the Governor's office. These people are heading towards the end of their rope and your advisement to these investigative entities will be well-timed.

Natural Motion Lures - St. Cloud Florida. You may need to issue a subpoena to obtain their story - similar to yours, and health issues of the owner or a family member may have resulted from dealings with these people.

Waste no time. Fax your information to the Governor's office, if need be, and follow up with a registered letter. Timing is everything here.

This company has called me as well.   They start off making it sound like they like the look of your website and that they want to do a special on you.

Then much later in the process they start with the $25k of costs involved.

These people are scammers that have their scammer sales pitch down to a science.

Stay far away from these lowlifes...

They are still at it. Was just contacted as well.  Why would you want to fund a product thats already selling ? I'd rather do business with the Major Shopping networks.

There is an old adage that goes "A fool and his money are soon parted."

Why it is that the ONLY positive press these people have out there comes from their OWN press releases? Why aren't there articles in independent media publications about these so-called "awards" they claim to have won?

Why? Because there ARE no awards. Yet people are still buying their B.S. and paying out money.

Yes, a fool and his money are soon parted indeed!

Yes, that post had "plant" written all over it. The reason that they wait until the last minute to spring the part about the fee, is that anyone who has been with the Company for six months or more knows that they are not who they say they are. No matter which point in the conversation the fee is brought up, the bottom line is that if they delivered the ROI they claim, people would be contacting them to participate, not the other way around.

Read up on the numerous court cases cited here and THEN try to claim that these people aren't classless crooks.

Write a letter to the FCC and lodge a formal complaint of harassment. Make three copies. Keep one, send one certified mail to Brandstar at 2001 W. Sample Rd., Pompano Beach, FL and send the third certified mail to the FL Atty. General's office. Print out the adverse and accurate information from Matthew Chan's webpage (they called him too - he didn't like it), staple it to your letter and write at the top with a black sharpie "Why are these people still in business"?

Sooner or later they will come under investigation.

    Regret It
It is not a scam, but you should make your own video and post it online.  The TV show is watched by 6 people.  The staff only cares about their own agenda.  They completely botch up everything.  The biggest mistake of my life!
