Wash machine of 4 years old costs more to repair tha I paid for it origionally

My 4 year old Maytag Bravo machine has failed:
Spined clutch
Computer
Actuater cam (shifter)
And pressure hose
I was quoted $629.29 for repair which is more than I paid for the washer. I did not purchase the extended service. The machine is being used by a single person that does only small loads of laundry. My previous experience with Maytag has been very positive and I didn't feel an extended service was necessary.
After receiving the repair quote I spoke with a customer service representative and a supervisor. The supervisor offered me a new machine for $491.00 but I had to make a decision in 48 hours, sight unseen, no mention of instillation or removal of the failed machine. I am the one inconvienced and I am being asked to buy a new machine with no mention of service. Please do better than this. Most disappointed!!!!
