I received an email dated 5-25-12 at my work email address stating I owed money and I would be going to jail. I have found info online stating this is a fake collector. I have also never received a call from this number listed. This is very disturbing, as they stated my ssn would be on hold and my employer would be contacted about this matter.

    I got the exact same thing today.  Print out the email, and take it to your police department later.  Also, call your BBB (Better Business Bureau), and at the same time contact your local news.  Don't be shy, I will do all that I have advised you to do.
