I bought a membership from hotels etc. When I want to use the card no one knew about it no discounts find. I called them at the original number the woman give me another number and so on I have about 10 numbers and all of them said yes I will help you, I call you tomorrow it's being more than a year and I still waiting for someone to call and refund my $100.00 or any answer, but up to now nothing is happening I read the reviews from all the people who are not happy with these thieves that no one does anything to stop them. When I see a reviews saying that the company it's very good and they got a good deals THOSE PEOPLE WORK FOR THEM.

    Mary, Thank you very much for your comment and I am sorry to hear that you are having issues. The number one reason why people complain about our membership program is because once they get the card the start calling every business on the globe to see if they accept Hotels Etc., which that is not how our program works. Our discounts only work at the businesses that are within our network. We will be more than happy to walk you through our program and teach you how to use it. As for the complaints on the internet, that is a few unhappy customers out of millions of card carrying members. The positive comments are not from people that work for Hotels Etc, but true comments from Distributors and members of our network.  I am not sure what number you called, but if you would like to reach us direct you can at 1-877-967-7283.. If our program did not work and if we were thieves then we would not give you a number nor reply to this complaint. I just wish there was a way to stop consumers from bashing companies that are ethical and loyal. But at this point the only thing we can do is reply to your concern and try to assist you.     What type of membership? It doesn't surprise me to read these types of comments, these companies always operate in unethical ways.

    Gerryco.. Sorry that you feel that way but our company is based on under promising and over delivering.. We try to ensure that everyone of our discounts work, the biggest issue is members forget to mention ID, or they just start contacting every company they see and asking if they participate with Hotels Etc.

    We have hundreds of thousands of hotels in our program but we don't have them all so there is a right way and wrong way to use the membership card. You cant just call up properties and mention Hotels Etc or otherwise everyone would do that regardless if they were a member or not. You need to supply the promo code, corporate code, or coupon that the company listed in the system.

    I have been a member for a couple of years and I have yet to get a better deal when traveling than I can get myself but maybe someday. However, I was outraged that when I requested a replacement for my worn Hotelsetc card, they want $9.95 for shipping a card. It's wrong and you know it. That is not customer service. One word... SCAM!

      I just ran across this thread here and you people crack me up.. Steve for you to say those things about hotels etc is crazy. There has only been one time in the last 3 years that i could not get a discount better than expedia and the other sites. I typically get on average of 40-60% off with my card. For you to say you can find a better deal by yourself I think is so far from the reality of the product. I think you are mad because you ruined your card and you expect them to send you a free one without charge. I am an annual member and my card was messed up through the washer and they sent me out a new card with no questions asked. I am not sure if you have the annual or lifetime but if it is the latter then how could  a company stay in business if they just sent a new card to every lifetime member without charging process and handling? This is what is wrong with this world, people like steve that bash a company because they have to pay $9.95 for a replacement card.. This kind of posts just crack me up and is wrong. It should be deleted from this site IMO

      Steve, I am sorry to hear that. I am really shocked as our system displays your actual discount at time of booking eliminating all guessing games on the size of hotel discount you are receiving. Please contact our office and we will be more than happy to help you. As for the shipping of a membership card, if you are a lifetime member then to replace your membership card is only $9.95 which is the ONLY fee we charge you. This fee is for a new membership package. I can speak to the powers to be and request that we start charging lifetime members a yearly maintenance fee that way when you need a replacement card it will be covered under the maintenance fee. We will update everyone once I present this idea to the board. As of right now you do not have an extra fees with Hotels Etc. except for a replacement card.

    i have been a member of hotels etc for a year and a half now and i have not found one instance that backs your claim that the company is a scam. i bought a lifetime membership and managed to book a flight and a 5 star hotel in june for a week from new york to tokyo for $1800 last year. tell me again how that isnt saving money

    in my opinion Hotels Etc is tghe best membership program across the board. if your not saving money then your not very computer savvy. know this thread is old but that stuff pisses me off when one idiot bashes a company because they cant figure out how to work the button thing in front of them. [***]
