Harassment by TTEs for bribery

Most of us have been harassed and humiliated by Railway TTEs sometime or the other in our lives. We dont speak up because we have always considered them to be masters and us as servants. Even though we pay the taxes which they take as salaries. We need to speak up and co-ordinate to end this humiliation we get at the hands of government officials all the time. PLEASE SPEAK UP.
My story will sound familiar to many - i was travelling from Kota to Mumbai and I had confirmed reservation ticket. However unfortunately i was late in arriving at the railway station as the train was in the midnight and our vehicle by which we were travelling to the station broke down. I then went to the station master and asked what to do. He helpfully suggested me to board the next train using the same ticket but not in the reservation compartment. Since tickets for non reserved compartments are not attached to any specific train but are issued for travelling between two stations, it was not to be a problem. I boarded the next train which thankfully came only half an hour later. I was in for a shock when the TTE came and said I can not travel by even the unreserved compartment because i had reservation in some other train. i said i have already paid to travel between kota and mumbai on that day and it should not be anyone's case which train i take. he said no way in his usual railway style, harassed me and demanded money to let me travel. i refused and then i forced me to get down at Ratlam and asked me to go and complain. there was no redressal at the station as well while my train went off. i was straded on the station for a good 10 hours before next train came. my whole day was wasted just because i refused to pay a bribe. not only that i was humiliated and harassed. i went to complain and they registered it in their diaries but i am sure no action was taken.
