Bad Billing Practices and Horrible Customer Service

I'm ashamed of Guthy Renkers business practices. I was a loyal Proactive customer for many years. I used to joke with my friends and say I was their first customer.I referred so many people to them that I should have worked for them. If I knew then what I know now I would have never done that. I cancelled the product more than once. They kept telling me to put it on hold to see if I would change my mind. The last time I called I said I definately do not want to continue to call to put this on hold. PLEASE stop sending me the product. Send me NO MORE product. Then 8 months later I get a call from a collection company. They say I was mailed kits and I need to pay or ruin my credit. I assure them I've never made a late payment and this is a mistake. I tell tehm I will call and get it fuigure out with Guthy Renker. To make a long story short after many phone calls to the collection company and Guthy Renker it's still not resolved. Guthy Renker has called me a liar and said I created this problem. I have done everthing I can to resolve this except pay for kits I DID NOT RECEIVE!!!! I will not pay for product that was not shipped to me. I'm ashamed of Guthy Renker.

    Had  Enough
    I  too  had a  bad  billing  experience  with  Guthy Renker. I  cancelled within the  30 day trial period. They  billed  me for the balance. Then  shipped  2  more  packages: AFTER  I  contacted  Customer  Service and  was told on the  first  call I would  get  a 20%  discount on the  remaining  balance. Of course ,G-R  billed  me  the full  2nd  payment. I waited a  week or so, called again-got  a  CSR  in  Idaho or Montana. I told  him I'm  filing a  complaint  with the  Consumer  Affairs  Section  of  the  State of  California Attorney General Office. He  said  G-R would  refund  the  FULL amount  of  $140+. Which NEVER  happened. I filed  my complaint  with the  CA  AG's  office. Which  replied  saying the  AG's office  would try and  resolve  my  issue -which  is  I want a  COMPLETE &  FULL  refund. While  all this  was  going on G-R  was  also sending  collection notices  in the mail. In other words,trying to  DOUBLE  BILL  me. That  did it.  I used to work for  lawyers(BIG ,MAJOR  statewide -Texas- and  national  cases). I'm now  looking for a law  firm to  initiate a  NATIONAL  class  action lawsuit,since there  a  way more  RIPPED  OFF  customers than the  respondents on this  message  board. I bet  there are  THOUSANDS. I'll  NEVER  order  anything  from that  SLEAZY  company again. The  celebrities  whose  products G-R markets/sells  NEED  to be attached  to the  lawsuits ,as  they're  profiting handsomely. God willing  a  judge won't  be  bought  off  by  G-R.  That  is  what  happens  when the  suit  gets to  the  pre-trial phase and  the  judge  dismisses  the  suit,per some  [***]  legal precedent. It's because the  judge  was/is  college  frat buds  with  the lawyer(s)  for  G-R / the  judge went  to law school  with the  G-R  lawyer(s) /because  the judge  got  campaign   "donations"  from  Guthy &  Renker  and/or  one or more  of  the  lawyers  defending  the SLEAZY company. That  is  how it  REALLY works  in America !!!  Who knows,maybe  I'll  get on a  national  investigative  TV  program and slyly  reference  the  suit. Scare the  crap out of  G-R ( two  of  the  SLEAZIEST  business  men  ,ever. They  need  to be  VERY careful. I've  closed  my old  bank account,  got a  new  cards  issued and  re-ordered  new  checks. Two  can play at this  game.

    Okay I am really tired of this  company now....... They have  some how receive the telephone  number at my  job and they are causing problems for  me  with my boss. The  customer service is  terrible  and the persons  who are calling are making  innocence people  look like  criminals. They  call  my  job  at least 4 time  a  week  with automated messages....... This  company needs  to STOP. I will  never  refer another person to try, use, or think about  supporting PROACTIV....It's a  SCAM
