We received a collection notice from this company alleging that we owed $18.00 for a subscription to a Hearst publication called "Car and Driver". We never arrange for such a subscription. This company has many complaints like ours pending against it. It appears that this company is involved in consumer fraud. BEWARE!

I did have a subscription to this magazine last year, which I paid and I have proof of payment. I've tried to call and been left on hold twice for 15 mins.
Twice they answered and before I could say anything they hang-up. I'm really glad I Googled and found this site. Thank you.
This company constantly calla and sends letters would like to pay my bill but they are sending bills for over twice the amount i owe ( not even a invoice detailed from t moble ten years with them billing is one of the reasons I left have ask many times for correct bill they say that there going to send it but it never comes.Very un professional
Include in your complaint that you repeatedly inform them the billing is erroneous, they repeatedly promise to fix it, but then they repeatedl send you another trumped up bill. This may be an unfair business practice in many states.
Although FTC will often just add it to their file, state AGs usually send a letter inquiring what is going on. Companies operating in a state don't want to come to the attention of the AG.
Not really surprising, considering other complaints.
What do they claim the bill is for?
