Dear Sir or Madam,
I am putting forth my grievance for your kind perusal.
Airtel is harassing me, due the charges they are deducting from my prepaid card.
Today I got the message on my Cell Phone stating that my monthly charges for download of VAS i.e. Rs.30 is deducted.
Immediately I called the Airtel Customer services and spoke to Ms. Pradyana wherein she confirmed that it is deducted and the reason being for Hello Tune Services. And She confirmed that it is being deducted for past 3 to 4 months.
My Points of disputes are -
1. It is my hard earned money, what rights have they got to deduct my money like this when I have not asked for hello tune services form my prepaid card. Before deducting have not checked with me whether I want the services, and without consulting the Customer they are deducting the money.
2. When I asked for refund they said it cannot be refunded.
3. I remember some four to five months back I had called the Customer Services of Airtel and told them to stop deducting the amount for VAS downloads, as I am not interested. Where as today Ms. Pradnya gave me a shock by confirming that these deductions are happening for past three to four months. Please note for past four to five months I have not received any such messages / intimation and they have been deducting the charges without my knowledge.
4. This year I have validated my card to life time out going by pay Rs.490.00 and incoming life time one Rupee by paying Rs.504.00 Today my balance was Rs.198.00 out of which Rs. 30.00 is deducted, with which my balance now is Rs.168.00.
Today if my balance only was Rs. 30.00, with the deduction for this Rs.30.00 I would have left with zero balance. That means I would not be in a position to make any urgent call. People / I only for the cases of emergencies choose mobile phones. This main purpose is being deprived by these agencies like Airtel.
I request you to kindly look into all the above points which is a great concern to me and help me as a Consumer.
