Could not provide Service but expect contact paid in full

on may 30th a technician showed up at my new apt to install transfer or move my dish. After 3 hrs, the tech told me that the service was unobtainable, the sattelite wouldnt line up to provide me service. I asked what that meant being i was in a contract, they said, that the contract would be voided because they couldnt provide me service, and that shipping boxes would be sent to ship the equipment back. I accept this, and found a new provider while i waited for the boxes. July 6th i recieved a bill that showed that my account was still active and i was being charged for service that they couldnt provide. I made the call, they said i was still active, said i owed them 500+ to end the contract. I cancelled service, does anyone know if there is a class action i can join, Im so upset, how can any company expect a customer to pay for service they are not able to provide?
