I purchased proactive for my daughter and am being charged for a vitamin subscription that I did not order I was told I missed a failed to uncheck a box on the order that offered my these vitamins for free and subsequently them authorization to charge me every month $32.95. I sent them the unopened order back almost 2 month ago and they continue to charge me and have yet to refund my money and they have said they sent through the refund that was over 3 weeks ago and still no refund.

    It's a cramming scam..
Deceptively constructed webpage with prechecked ordering, hidden behind the "plausible deniability" that "you could have cancelled" what you never were intended to know you "ordered".   They have been doing this for years.

There is actually an area of skill in the "web design" business, to maximize the number of "customers" who miss hidden terms while maintaining deniability.

It's a form of mail and bank fraud, just skirting the edge to avoid prosecution.  As long as all you do is complain to them, they have nothing to worry about, and they run out the bank fraud dispute clock.  In fact, if your complaints are just by phone, they can simply "lose" them, and use deception through confusion.  That's what the non-refund "refund" game is all about.

To recover your money, immediately contact your bank to file fraud disputes against the unauthorized charges, and have your bank shut down your account or block your card number to prevent further charges.  Your bank can reverse charges if you dispute promptly, under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.

File fraud complaints with FTC, your state Attorney General, and the US Postal Inspector.

In the future, Google any company you plan on doing business with before ordering.  You will often easily find out if others are having problems, and save yourself a lot of hassle.
