I have never been so frustrated with a company or anything in my life as I have been with maytag and A&E. What a joke to be able to call themselves respectable companies. NEVER BUY FROM MAYTAG or allow MAYTAG to let A&E work on your appliances.
I purchased a new washer and dryer last March 2011. 9 months later I was having issues with the washer. Called American where I bought it. It was under warranty. they send someone out that has NO parts in his service van so has to order. A week later he comes and puts in the parts. 4 parts no less. Then 2 weeks later I have the same issues. He comes back again, 3rd visit and says I was right it wasn't working again. I called Maytag since American couldn't fix it apparently. Maytag assures me they will handle it. Maytag has NEVER called me, emailed me , or returned any calls It has only been me contacting them. Maytag's answer is to send another tech guy out, their tech guy. I am assuming some Maytag repair man is going to show up and magically fix the machine. They send A&E which is ony the beginning of another nightmare. 4th visit and he agrees the machine isn't working. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out!!!!! Says he needs to order ALL the same parts that were already put in. There's a comforting thought Hey? He laughs and says the parts will cost more than the machine cost so they should just swap out the machine. So double the cost of the washer to replace the parts. Makes so much sense. Maytag people gave me over 10 different scenarios, answers, promises from over 20 some phone calls trying to get my washer working. I fight because my warranty is up March 15th, even though this order started almost a month prior. Maytag verbally promises to honor my warranty and follow it through but refuses to put that in writing. An email did come stating the warranty would be extended to finish this. A&E proceeds to pretend to be on this yet sets up 2 appts for service , one without the parts, and yesterday the guy never even showed up after I called 3 times confirming. They actually told me the exact time he would be there the 3rd time. Now today they told me he ordered the parts yesterday, 2 weeks after he already told me he did. A&E tells me today that they can't find any warranty honored even though it started before the warranty was up so I would need to pay for these parts and figure it out with Maytag!!!!!! Are you fricking kidding me? Who in their right mind would pay more for parts than the washer was worth??????????? These people are crooks. They have no people skills and are only out for self benefit and money. They should be ashamed to call themselves a business. AND..............try and find a number or a person at the top of Maytag to file a complaint.
