AVA Merchandising sell products to customers on EMIs who hold an credit card, customers recieves the brouchers of products along with credit card statements, when you place an order over telephone the total value of the item blocked on your credit card and it will be billed in equated EMIs for the coming credit card bills, as the same way i placed an order with AVA on 11-08-2008, ordering the Blackberry mobile instrument for which value is indicated Rs.5990/ and i was told that it has to be paid in 6 EMIs, each EMI amounts to Rs.998/-.next day on 12-08-2008 i recieved a call from AVA stating that the product ordered by me was out of stock and if i wish i can order for another upgraded version of the Blackberry mobile phone which costs Rs.8450/ and the EMI would be Rs.1498/- per month, i gave my consent and confirmed the order, next day on 13-08-2008 i recieved a call again from AVA stating that an amount of Rs.8490/- was swiped from my credit card instead of Rs.8450/-, they said that it was by mistake and for that they are offering me a LOUIS wrist watch for which i have to pay Rs.490/-, as they have swiped already Rs.40/- from my credit card in extra to the first orderd product, they will swipe Rs.450/- more and will send me the LOUIS wrist watch, the person who took the order assured that both the products will be delivered with in 14 working days along with a free gift (ladies wrist watch Louis brand). After lapse of 20 days when i did not recieved either of the products i made several calls to the provided numbers to enquire about the order, either i was kept on hold for more than 30 min each time on an std call or i was assured that the product will be delivered to me within next week, when i was asking repeatedly about the time when it will be delivered or making requests for cancellation of the order the person who was online either keep me on hold for a longer perion or hung without proper response. Feeling disguised with the response of AVA i made request to cancel both the orders on 04-09-2008, the person who spoke to me said that the orders will be cancelled and the amount charged will be refunded to my credit card account with in a period of 14 days, but to my surprise the order no.2 whic is for the Louis wrist watch was delivered at my address on 12-09-2008 and the EMIs for both the orders were reflected in my credit card statement, when i try to call AVA with my regular number from which i was making calls to them it was either not being connected or if connected it was disconnected immidiatly after i speak out the order number regarding which i want to talk, it is a clear indication that they have barred those numbers, it is for sure as when i try to call the same number from another phone it was connected, i tried this several times and assured mself that they have some provision to barr the numbers which they dont like to answer.
Thus i searched the ways to complain about the matter, here i found this site and as i feel this is fraud and the AVA people are cheating public. these are the order numbers provided to me by the AVA. (1) 040045471 for Blackberry mobile (2) 160114717 for the Louis wrist watch.
Please make public aware how AVA cheating people.

    yes this is true.. i read the same many times, why all these people wont file a complaint with consumer redressal forum

    I think the colplaint should be logged to consumer law court and also media should be asked to log a artical on it.

    I have purchase Sony Digital Camera Vide order no. HD816 dated 29-10-08.

    Several times I did talk to Customer Care Executive regarding the same. They answer me that I will received the same withing 2 or 3 days.

    How much times will take to deliver?

    I got information about AVA from citibank mailer in my credit card bill. i had purchased pearl set and silver necklace from them through my credit card on 24 Sep 2008. But both the product when deliverd were broken. I asked them to cancel the order and refund the money as i was not satisfied with the quality. But the refund is still not done after
    3 months also.
    Consequences : I have been paynig the amount to Citibank as the purchase was through Credit Card and also paid intrest on the same. I have been chasing them for the refund since last two months

    This is not a matter of Consumer Court but it is cheating and a criminal offance.

    Thanks a lot for commenting on AVA, b'coz I was suppose to order for a Camera and I just logged on their website, where I found your info. Its really a awareness to the public.

    Instead of going for an EMI option, why not we people save the same amount for six months and buy a product in a reputed outlet, where we can feel the product quality before buying.

    They are very chatter I have oreder the camara on 12 Dec 2009 till date 14.01.2010 got get anything HDFC is also responcable for the chatting because they advertise the AVA

    I have ordered a nikon camera on 13 dec,2009 and till date 12 feb,2010 i haven't received..... every time I call customer care, they told me it will be dispatched with in a week and if i ask them to cancel the order. They literally refuses to cancel the order. And in there handout there is written that order will be deliver with in a 21 days..... they are just making fool...........

    yes i am strongly agreed ava & Hdfc both are having tiup  and they will use for puplic money hereafter don't sent along with credit card bill..
    Hdfc bank should take responsilblity other wise will suit the bank.

    Hi There,

    Even I had the same experience with AVA merchandising and HDFC Bank. This is something ridiculous!!We guys trust AVA coz of HDFC bank. I had ordered a Ladies Hand bag and a pearl set through the same and now even the company is refusing to cancel the order after a month of non-delivery and the bank is saying that they can't stop the EMIs. This is like a clear fraudulent!!

    I would say that the bank is equally part of these frauds with these small and distrustable merchandisers like AVA.

    I purchased sony cybershot from AVA merchandising but i wasn't provided the bill for that and now my cam has stopped working and sony service station is asking for the bill and warranty card or else they will charge me for its repair which costs nearly 4,500 rs. I mean for camera costing 8,000 rs i have to pay 4,500 rs for its repair because i wasn't provided any kind of bill or warranty card for the same.

    I also kindly urge everyone not to buy any product from AVA merchandising. They are cheaters.

    I'm also a victim of this fraud and I truely believe that the banks who tie-up with such fraud merchents should also be held responsible for this customer harrasment and a froud case should be filled against these banks because as a customer we recieved these offers from a bank's credit card and not from these merchendisers directly.

    I have put an order to buy Digital Camera M380 from AVA merchandizing, they put this offer in a leaflet with the HDFC bank credit card statement
    I finalized the order via email on 05 march 2010, till today 07 April 2010, i did not receive my camera
    Also they have started to charge me the EMI even if I did not receive the camera

    I called up their helpdesk they person who received my call is not ready to share the managers phone number

    ARe these guys fraud ?

    Facing the same problem, i had ordered the Camera Kodak M380 - 02 No's on 15.02.2010 but till today after a period of 68 Days even waiting for the product or refud but failed to get nothing. GOING TO CONSUMER FORUM as HDFC Bank and AVA merchandising are equally responsible for this fraudulent transaction.
