Numerous complaints of fraudulent collection of unowed or already paid "payday loans", with reports of various illegal implied threats.  It appears that some of their payday lender clients may be operating illegally in various states.  Their illegal threats may be a deliberate tactic to squeeze money out of borrowers over legally unenforceable payday loans, that may also defraud consumers who never even took out any payday loan.

Why don't you contact the Missouri Attorney General, to confirm their location, whether they are licensed in the state, and their agent for service of process?

Or if you are being harassed, get an attorney.  You can find a consumer attorney in your state through www.naca.net

The Web address on my original post is a fake.  I got the information from the directory of ACA International (the trade group for these creeps).

They call me from a 510 number-which is the Bay Area (oakland, CA).  They call me non-stop.  They are very rude!!  They threatened to call my job or sue me in court.  I finally tried to make a payment plan, they told me I would owe over 1000 dollars on a 400 dollar loan.  That I was paying back until I got into a serious accident and was out of work for a month.  Now I'm afraid to send these people anything.  Please it seems like you guys know a lot about whats going on.

    Thanks

The threats of illegal harassment (at work, if you have told them not to call you there) point to illegalities in other areas, even fraud.  They show up in debt collection complaints when the debt itself has something wrong with it, or actual legal remedies are unavailable for some reason.

They have shown up connected to collections on fraudulently crammed "payday loans", where the consumer never even agreed to take out any loan at the alleged terms but money was deposited then quicly removed from his account, followed by unending demands for more money on this "interest only loan".

Many states require that payday lenders be licensed to do business in the state.
If the lender wasn't licensed in your state, you may not even owe any more than the original principal.
Many also require that debt collectors be licensed and bonded.

Find out what you are dealing with.
      Contact  your state Attorney General.

These people created a check using my routing and checking account number and took over $400 out of my account.   I have filed complaints with the NYS Dept of Financial Services, but I'm going to have my underground friends seek them out and put an end to what they are doing.   They are bottom feeding pieces of crap.
