I filed a complaint with NJ BBB here was what DBW lied. They say they didn't pay claim because I disputed the charges in reality I disputed the charge after they refused to pay my auto repair. Why should I pay for warranty when they don't pay. There Fraud!!'

Consumer's Original Complaint :
THEY FAILED TO PAY FOR REPAIRS COVERED BY MY CONTRACT. THEY SAID IT WAS PRE EXISTING BUT THEY NEVER INSPECTED MY CAR.
I purchased a 2003 Mini Cooper S. I looked on the internet to purchase a extended warranty for my car. I came accross Direct Buy Warranty. I called them and gave them my miles and the year make and model. They told me they could extend my warranty to 200k miles with a warranty for 2400.00 total. They told me it would cover everything on my car except body, clutch, light bulbs, and wear and tear items. I accepted the contract and knew it had a 30 day waiting period. I purchased the warranty in December in 2011. The grace period was over on the 18th of January.On or about January 24th 2012 I heard a strange noise in my car. I drove it to Global BMW Mini in Atlanta. They inspected my car and told me I had a suspension problem. They inspected the car and I gave them my warranty contract and number. This was on Friday this past week. I heard back from them today on Monday, January 30 and they told me this was a pre exising condition and it would no be covered. I called back 2 times today and they hung up on me. I finally got somneone on the line and asked them how this could be a pre exising condition when it just happend. They told me it didnt matter and hung up again. I asked them to cancel my contract and refund my money since they would not pay. They said no because I filed a claim and it was a pre existing condition. I got the cancelation documents from them and it reads if I sign and cancel I wave all judements, suits and claims. They are trying to keep charging me card and not paying. So I canceled my debit card and disputed the item with my bank. If you look on the internet and google earth their address its inside a UPS Store. They have over 2-3 k compaints. Just google the company Direct Buy Warranty and read the stories. They are pathetic. I have lost a total of 387.50 in charges with nothing to show for it. They deny everyones claim and say its pre existing. They are required to send a Tech out to look at the car. No one was sent and I asked them how do they know it was pre existing condition and they told me they have ASE people who know it is. I have all books and maintenance reocords on my car from 2003 to 2012 and all current. My car has not been neglected.

REFUND OF 387.50 PLUS MY REPAIR COST OF 1856.67

    You can complain all you want to the BBB   it doesnt matter!!!   These people make phone calls to anyone and make in sound like thier Warrenty is up,, Well the story goes is the address for them is 33 Wood Ave Iselin NJ 08830 These people are allegedly scammers  !!  I myself have been called by them and play stupid on each phone call,  The caller worked me up to 3200.00 bumper to Bumber on a bogus vehicle I gave them. They have no Idea who they are calling just banking on the fact that you dont do anything to them.

    You may want to take this matter to the Prosecutors office in the county Woodbridge Township, in Middlesex County, New Jersey

    My VSC # is 443340 I purchased a Platinum Elite package in March on 2011 for a 2001 Mercedes BEZ S600. @ 79000 Miles on the Car. With FULL MAINTANCE RECORD OR EVERY OIL CHANGE AND SERVICE PERFORMED ON HAND> 1 year and 3 months later and 4000 miles Plus laterI notice Smoke coming out of my undercarege and the front of the Engine. I stopped and had called the tow truck and had the car sent to Mercedes Benz of Naperville, In ILLINOIS. After the Diagnosis, they found out the OIL COOLER HOUSING, is defective, hence leaking OIL, also found that universal Disc needs to be replaced, Cable wiring, 2 engine mounds, 2 strut bushings, Left front Lower ball joint, Truck hydraulic pump, and truck lace needs to be repaired or replaced. Truck Latch and 2 strut front bushings are not covered in the Plan. But everything else is.  The Mechanics and service advisors have submitted the WO to DirectBuyautowarranty. 3 days later the warranty company calls me back and says that they said that due to neglect they will not cover any of my claims.SAM SMITH OR SAM EDWARDS Mentioned that wear and tear is not covered. OIL cooler housing is not a wear and tear item. The only wear and tear items are Truck latch and 2 strut busing... SAM EDWARD would not transfer my call to any one and mentioned it stops at him. They will not cover any thing. Due to me not taking action on these issues. I am not a mechanic; I take my car in the dealership every time for Service A and B and depend on them for the diagnosis, once they tell me I FIX the problem. I have all the previous repaired records of all the service work that I performed and what the factory warranty covered. SAM EDWARD “Fake NAME" Denied that they have an office outside of USA. There corp. office is in CYPRUS. He told me that he does not know what I am talking about. He had no Names to give for Supervisors and kept telling me like I was a fault for all of this. THIS COMPANY IS A F***ING SCAM>>>>> IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CA HELP ME WITH THEM PLEASE CONTACT ME @ atif.sidd23@gmail.com. I will be more that happy to take some sort of action against this injustic. ALSO THEY HAVE A Tendency OF CHARGING your account double , which I records for as well. Looking for answers!!

    Direct Buy Warranty is a Fraud! They lie about what is covered. I called to get a refund after only having coverage for a few months. They charged me over $400 in fees and after two months of cancelling l, no refund received yet. They will hang up your calls after calling to ask about the status of your refund. Many people are posting the identical issue I'm having with this immorality of a company. Not sure how these people go home and kiss their kids, after doing what they do on a daily basis.
