They wont stop calling

Me and my husband just open a new cell phone account about a month ago and ever since he keeps gettiing calls from Capital One, first of all we dont have an account with them and second of all we dont own ANY credit cards. Ive called and spoke with their supervisor three times and supposedly they personally erased the number off their record, what can i do?

    It is fairly common for new cell phone's to start ringing with debt collectors calling for the prior owner of that number.

    You might call Cap One's executive offices.  They might be able to stop the calls, but you will likely start getting calls again as the account gets passed off to different debt collectors, since that phone number will likely get transferred with any records and that is where they will start.

    It might be simpler to just ask your cell phone provider for a new number, before you have provided it to too many friends and family.

    I would like capital one to quit calling i blocked some of the numbers but they just change the numbers they call real early in the morning and on sunday and requested twice and they say it will take 24 for hours to process the request and within 24 hours they are still calling my number needs to be taken out if there computer i dont have an account with them so how can it be in a debt collecttions
