Direct tv techs have free reign in your home

I recently had direct tv come install a dish on my home, I specifically asked for an undermount, however it was not the case. When the two technicians arrived, I mentioned again about the undermount. One tech went outside to look fir the best place to get a signal, the second tech stayed indoors to start in the inside wiring. I watched indoors as he prepared the wiring, and next thing I know , the outside has already drilled holes on my roof and has begun installing a dish near the chimney chute. I asked why he did this and was told there was no way an undermount would work, and I asked him why didn't he ask me first before proceeding, he said he didn't have any notes for an undermount, I was mortified by this response, so if he doesn't have notes on his computer, then he assumes full and free reign if my home? I was not given the opportunity to say "no thanks". While I was talking to this tech , the second tech stated he was going to their truck. I went inside to call direct tv customer service, the next thing I hear is noise from upstairs, I go upstairs to find the technician in my walk in closet with a ladder and has opened my attic. There was insulation debris all over my clothes which was hanging on the rods and debris all over my carpet. I was in shock !!! How would they know where my attic opening was? Well, because they took it upon themselves to look through all my rooms upstairs for it. All without my knowledge nor permission. By this time, my level of being upset escalated to a level of " get out"!!! I asked the tech's why they thought it was ok to go into my attic after knowing very well I was already upset about the install of dish on my roof. No response... I asked them why they thought they could violate my personal space , their response was they needed to find the splitter on cable. I almost choked. No apologies, no empathy, no remorse, they just looked like deers in headlights . I now have to get a hold of someone to clean my clothing from insulation that fell on it. Before they left , one tech gave me the worst apology ever, so devoid of feeling, a plain " well, sorry, here are your remotes" . I am not over exaggerating , and I am not adding to this scenario. The techs left and bad mouthed me all the way to their truck. I heard because I went outside to the side of my house to take photos of the dish. I then, went upstairs to take loads of photos of my clothes covered with debris as proof. I was told by direct tv customer retention services to send all my info to their damages dept. ( where I am still waiting to hear if my case will be compensated or dismissed ) meanwhile I am stuck with a $308 dry cleaning bill.  I highly recommend anyone thinking of direct tv , think it over many times, and make sure you have a second person at home with you as a witness and to help you keep an eye. Don't give them one red hot minute alone or you will have given them opportunity to do whatever they feel. And by the way, these techs were not young 20 year olds , I'm saying grown men in their 40's that should know better. Incase anyone is wondering, direct tv gave me the option of moving dish to another spot on my roof or pay for a pole installation somewhere on my yard. The two things that we did not want in the first place. And the dry cleaning bill I'm still waiting on , but atleast the representative there was and seemed more sympathetic . In a nutshell, I wouldn't trust direct tv.
