I cannot believe what I am reading. I am furious right now. After doing research online, I bought two Bob o Pedic gel mattresses at the beginning of August for my guest room. As soon as they were unpacked, I smelled an intense chemical smell throughout the entire house. Because I have a Puffy mattress on my king bed in the master bedroom (and I absolutely love it, but didn't want to spend that much money for a guest room),  I am aware of offgassing and expected it for a few days, based on my experience with Puffy. It is now September 19th and the chemical stench from thesemattresses has not subsided at all. We had purchased a desk at the same time as the mattresses. They were delivered together and are in the same room, so after a few weeks of the smell not subsiding, I thought it might be the desk that stinks. Nope, it's the mattresses. That was quite clear after I put mattress pads and sheets on the mattresses. I am furious because I have had a headache and have been nauseous  from this stench since day 1, evemthough I have had EVERY SINGLE WINDOW in my house open since the day they were delivered! After several weeks of putting up with this crap, I called Bob's and the customer service rep (who barely spoke English)  lied directly to me saying that they've "never had any complaints about smells coming from their furniture." What a crock of bull. I went online and found many sites where this is a common complaint. Now I am discovering from this site that in addition to the stench, my guests are sleeping on FIBERGLASS?! The rep said the only thing they could do is deliver new mattresses but she was adamant that once the new ones were delivered there would be no further recourse.  I asked her why she thought that the solution would be to deliver 2 new ones so I have to start the process all over again with the stench and the problem wouldn't ever be resolved. She had no other solution and just kept saying that they've never had a complaint about smells and this was all she could do for me. I refused to accept that and demanded to speak with a supervisor. She tried to discourage that by saying "they are just going to tell you the same thing I just did." I told her I'd take my chances. After a very long wait on hold someone claiming to be a supervisor came on the line. I explained the situation once again and let her know that I did research online (I used my time on hold wisely), learned this is a common complaint and now I'm wondering what toxic chemicals we've been breathing for the last couple of weeks. She did not respond to that inquiry but rather ignored my concern and quickly offered the same "solution" as the first rep I talked to.  I AGAIN said no. She then offered to have a "technician" come out to the house to determine where the smell is coming from. I know WHERE IT'S COMING FROM! With no other recourse, I reluctantly agreed. He/She is coming to my house on Thursday this week, and at that time  I will be demanding that Bob's remove these mattresses from my home. I thought I had done my due diligence by researching before I bought, but apparently I missed the fact that these toxic piles of crap are made in China. If I had known that, I would have never bought them. I should have waljed outof tge store immediately when the woman who waited on me was rude and very short with me. This is my first and last time patronizing Bob's Discount Furniture.  If they refuse to take the mattresses out of my house and give me a full refund, I will be going to my local news media as well as making a formal complaint with my state's Attorney's General Office. I guess in this case it pays to be named "Karen."

I don't know what happened with the typos-my post should say "walked out of the store immediately." Sorry!
