Unsolicited Goods and Services
Complaint

Country: United States
Dear Sir or Madam, My wife has received today a second demand for payment for a pack of an anti-aging moisturizer which she did not order and which she does not require. According to the DTI website, under the Unsolicited Goods and Services Act 1971 (as amended), it is an offense to demand payment for goods known to be unsolicited. Further, someone who receives goods in these circumstances may retain them as an unconditional gift, and does not have to pay for or return any unwanted goods. If you wish to make arrangements to collect them at your cost please do so. Otherwise she will consider them hers to deal with and dispose of as she sees fit. Please note that I will report to my local Trading Standards Department any further demands for payment.
