Consumer portfolio service is the most disrespectful and unprofessional company I have ever encountered. They have financed my car loan since 2007 and I have had non stop threatening phone calls to my home and work when I am only a day or so late. I get these calls from the same representative every time, only a woman known as ms. Adams. They never give their first names. Most recently I had called today to get the payoff amount on my loan and I was so rudely given the amount and hung up on by Ms. Adams. They have called my references ( all family members)  and disclosed my financial situations and information and degraded me. They have called my work on my days off and accused my co-workers of lying about my absence and claimed to have had someone in the parking lot watching me. Never have I ever experienced such harassment, yet alone from a "professional " finance company.

    CPs is the worst company on the  face of this earth. They harass and degrade their clients and threaten them. This is a warning to all: never finance your car through this company. They should be sued and forced out of business . Ms. Adams is the rep I have had issues with and I hope she rots.

    I can't believe how many of us there are that share this huge dislike for such a terrible company. I just filed a complaint with the B.B.B. hopefully something happens but more of you should do the same. Bitching about it on here won't get us anywhere. It only took 5 mins to do online. This company has got to go down. I have been in customer service for 15 years and have never even come close to experiencing this lack of professionalism.

    CPS sent my social security number and personal information to a public fax machine at my job and called my work and violently threatened me. This company should go out of business!

    Rafael Gomez called me and threatened me,  It looks as thou this company has a nasty wrap for low grade, scumm bag, foul talking, abusive, degefnerate customer services rep's...  They must have either just walked out of freaken loony bins as this is USA not a 3 world company... you dont crap on people due to a debt... Not only will I be filing a formal complaint with BBB the FTC will be hearing about them as well... and you guys do to!!!!  it take 5 minutes and WILL get investigated and possible law suits can come of it.  If they find they are breaking any of the FDCPA regulations... look them up you guys... we have RIGHTS! also if you write them a letter in writing "cease and desist" telling them YOU CAN NO LONGER CALL ME ANYWHERE! OR THRU ANYONE... they MUST stop!  send it certified mail... the moment they call you... BOOM!  there so screwed... there are sooo many laws they are breaking... Its up to us to beat them at their own NASTY GAME!

    I have contacted the federal Trade commission and the local BBB in california.  They bought out our finance company in 2009 and now this Mr. Raphel Gomez thought he could be rude to me until I said, attorney, police and FTC then he hung up.  Let him know you know your rights we are always on time with our payments.

    And ladies let this man know your balls are bigger then his don't let him scare you, I don't take mess from men that can't stand up to a women.

    My attorney is preparing papers now.

    I have been financing this vehicle since 2006......needless to say I went from making 13.00/hr to 8.96/hr, and i honestly thought that most financial establishments would consider helping the consumer to the best of their ability with allowing them atleast some sympathy. I have had threatening calls.......blackmailing......and derrogatory comments do to my financial situation, saying (Well if you can't make your payments then you need to find another job). I honestly didnt think that comment was appropriate. Not all of the representatives at that Virginia branch are bad, but being that i use to work in customer service I think that some of those representatives need more inservices on proper behavior when dealing with consumers who are genuinely having hardship and are unable to make their payments on time.

    I hate them. they took over for my car aompany and they suck. they rude phone calls. Cant wait till I am out of this car.
