Unauthorized charge

DBS withdrew money from my account.  I have called the third party number and they have said my money would be refunded.  That has been since September.  I cannot get a number to talk to them directly.  I am a senior on a fixed income.

    Whenever you have an unauthorized charge to your account, you first IMMEDIATELY contact your bank to file a dispute.  This preserves your rights under FRB Reg. E.  If you dispute within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disputed charge, your bank can reverse it.  You should also close the account due to fraud to prevent additional fraud.

    If you have let the 60 day dispute period pass, and they won't return your money, your best bet is by filing a fraud dispute with your state AG, or a complaint with their industry reglatory agency.  You should also file a complaint with FTC, to fatten their complaint file.
