I thought I was on the NO TERM with Rogers but low and behold I looked on a piece of paper from when I had gotten a number for my fiance under my name which i was approved for two lines for $100 deposit each line but $200 for the second line all of a sudden when I went to get my fiance a phone and number. I looked on the paper and it said that I am on a 3 year contract. I figured this out after finding out they put a block on my account. I want to have the phones working but BOTH on a NO TERM as I cannot afford to cancel. I was told by the representative at the rogers stand at the mall I go to that to cancel all I have to do is pay the rest of the price of the phone but kind of hard to when it is on a 3yr term when I NEVER wanted a effing contract in the first place as I owe Rogers $5000 and they basically looked at the other accounts I have had previously when it has been like over a year or so. HELP I NEED TO GET THIS FIXED AND NEED A WORKING PHONE OTHER THAN MY FIDO NUMBER WHICH IS UNDER A FRIENDS NAME....

I just quit but I was working at a Rogers store. They started this new thing in January.. technically its not no term. Its a three year but normally you'd pay $20 for every remaining month along with extra cancellation fees depending on the amount of time left in the contract. Now you only pay the remaining balance of the cost of the phone. So say you had a $600 iPhone and your plan paid off $100, you would pay $500 to get out. Same concept as the Virgin supertab or Koodo tab. The employee should have explained it better but you did sign the contract. Always read your paperwork people!! I cannot stress this enough. You could be signing your life away, take the extra 5 mins to look it over.
