Bogus Defaulted Loan

I'm receiving calls repeatedly from someone claiming to be a Litigator for CP Investors. Her name is Heather Sanders. Her assistant's name is Amanda Dickson(sp). She is claiming I took out a loan then defaulted in 2011 through Regions. She says I can settle the account by paying them 780.62 or face larger amount of fees with court costs and attorney fees. I contacted the bank they said I defaulted at, the place the loan originated, and the local authorities in my county of residence. It's a scam. There is a statute of limitations on such loans. There has to be documented proof to include signed and dated documents proving the loan ever existed. If they can't produce these, block the call and report them to the FTC, Consumer Protection Bureau, and the Attorney General in your state. Another factor to keep in mind: if you defaulted due to a bogus or "fraudulent" check through a bank, the bank will not wait 5 years to contact you about it. They're required to notify you in some form that this fraud has taken place. They keep spoofing phone numbers and calling from different states and locations. I just block those too. I save all voicemails and don't delete any of the calls from your call log. Keep everything! Don't give any personal information to the these people. If they ask you to verify the last 4 of the social, name, address, etc...just tell them no. The last time they called me threatening to have me served, I told them I would be waiting on the deputy to serve those papers, which by the way - never came. Still waiting Heather.......get a job and stop trying to take hard earned money from people. Hope this helps someone being scammed by these low life scum.
