laces

Bought a pair of new red wings about a year ago, first pair and last, very comfortable boot, but the shoe laces last a couple of weeks or a little more,  I have tried every brand including rawhide, I am 75 years old so I am sure I am not working them too hard.  Chinese junk!!!!!
