I booked a flight ticket for my wife to india from toronto. She was flying back today and had a stopover at munich and paris but was not allowed to board the flight because she did not have transit visa. It was never mentioned/disclosed while booking the ticket that she requires Transit visa for 2 stops in Europe. Its cheopoairs responsibilty to take the reponsibilty of this issue and refund the money for the amount my wife spend for buying extra ticket. I will be taking a legal route if this issue is not resolved asap. You dont know how much hassle my wife is going through right now at delhi airport.
She spend another 1200$ just board another flight.

If cheapoair comes with 2 stopover flights, they should mentioned the rules for transit visa before customer buys the ticket. Im really upset and frustrated right now.

We do mention on the website and also it is printed on each customer's email confirmation that you are responsible to check for visa/passport requirements when you make the booking online, and without the help or guidance from our sales office. Customer never called us to inquire until after the customer was denied boarding by the airline.

But our T&C does mention this information, as well as provides a link to the embassy, and a visa, passport service for assistance. We are in contact with this customer.

Our website does display Visa/passport alerts that anyone booking on line, such as this customer, they are responsible to verify all documents needed. We print this on their email confirmation, highlighted in yellow, and is also listed on our website with agency services that can assist you with getting a visa or passport. Customer never contacted us until at the airport, in which it was too late to obtain a Visa for the current trip.
