Fraudulent YP Automatic Contract Renewal

In  2014  a YP sales rep sent me a copy of my 2013 Contract and said she was working on the all the changes that I wanted including a much smaller ad.  But after that email, she would not reply to my emails asking for information about the new YP ad that I wanted,  and I was not able to contract her by phone because her YP phone extension was out of service and when I called YP customer service they said they are working on the phone line extension and they would have the sales rep call me...I said no I want to be emailed since I'm contractor and hard to reach by phone during the day.  I also kept sending emails to the sales rep to get my ad changed as I had discussed with her..  She never complied by email and only kept saying in her email reply to contact her by phone.  Every time I tried to reach the sale rep, her YP phone extension was not working.  Then when I was finally able to make contact with her, she said it was too late to make any changes and the old ad was already automatically renewal by YP.   This is complete fraud.   I never signed a renewal Contract and I never received help changing the ad the way I wanted it.
I ended up never getting proper help from the sales rep to discuss the different options and prices of the YP ads and I ended up not even getting close to the ad that I wanted.  My business ad shown in the current 2014 hard paper telephone book is NOT even close to what I wanted.  Absolutely terrible customer service and I feel it was very deceptive and extremely poor business ethics.  I'm so completely dissatisfied with the customer sales ad service that I received this last time, especially since I was forced into renewing YP  Printed YellowBook advertising  and my Online advertiising that I did not want and a sales rep who refused to work by email as all the other YP reps had done for me in the past.
I have sent complaints to YP about this situation, but no help so far.  Now I’m trying not to get stuck with the automatic renewal again this year, and it seems hard to find the correct address (for California) to send my YP non-renewal request. Unbelievable how a company could legally be allowed to operator a business in this fraudulent manner.

    I am having the same issue. They automatically renewed without my knowledge. They say since I didn't reply to their email
    I don't see that in the contract.  Have you been able to found a contact person for California?

    YP did an auto-renew on my website subscription. I never received a notice from them although they said they sent one and I did'nt even know my sales person's name since the one who sold me the service quit. It is absolutely CRAZY that they can hold people to these so called auto renewal contracts. I don't even have a website with them any more, and haven't since before the renewal. And....their so called customer service is a GREAT BIG JOKE !!!!

    YP have been given my husband a hard time trying to cancel his contract and sending letters that they are renewing it within 10 days if he does not get back to them and he has repeatedly told the sales rep he is not renewing and the sales rep continuously called him 10 times within a few days,(after he told them he no longer is interested in advertising with them) it's an outrageous carry on and something needs to be done with them.
    I also have advertised with them and just called them to ask why I haven't heard from them about renewing my contract and I've just been informed that it has been automatically renewed even though I received no mail requesting my renewal or no phone call, this can't be legal. Any advice as to what a person is to do? We are in California.

    I am on the phone right now for the same thing!!  We are in Texas!!  We told the rep on the phone we were not renewing!!!  I got our bill today and it says autorenewal.  They are criminal and say that the original contract authorizes them to auto renew if we don't sent back their paperwork.  Anything other than a bill was thrown away because we had told the rep we weren't renewing!!  YP is NOT a reputable company!!  I am about to call the local news stations!!
