I purchased a couch with recliners on both ends.  On the right, where my elbow hits, it is coming apart.  We bought it and another large chair back in 2011.  Its just over 2 yrs old and its coming apart.  Bought the extended warranty and so i had a tech come out and take pics and he said it looked like it was snagged.  Its just me and my husband and we don't wear watches or rings.  I told him i don't remember ever snagging it.  They said they would not cover it so i complained some more and they sent out another tech who said the same thing.  I said how do you know the fabric was not defected?  They refuse to fix it.  I am so angry right now.  I haven't even finished paying for it!! Where is the satisfaction?

Art Van's Furniture, especially their couches are nothing more than cheap junk.  I paid very good money for 2 sofas, normal wear and tear of a family four (2 teens who are "NOT" hard on things), both couches lin the exact same place.  They have recliners at both ends, so those ends didn't give out, however the cheap metal the size of a hanger that zig-zags along the back of the middle of the couches for reinforcement both gave out!!  Now come on, "both couches giving out in the same place??"  My sister-in-law also had a similar couch, my couches are microfiber and hers durablend (the fake leather) and she had the exact same problem in the same place.  She has toddlers, I have teens, none of these couches have been abused and look absolutely like new except for the mid-section goes way down as if something broke (which obviously it did).  Art Van does not support their customers or stand behind their products, even when there is obviously something faulty going on.  I just wonder how many others simply replaced their couches and never said a word.  I called today to get an estimate on replacing the metal that holds the foam up properly ~ AT LEAST $200 AT THE MINNIMUM....THAT IS A JOKE.  I do love the look of the couches but the quality is not there.  I wouldn't put more than $50-$100 into each one, I believe I paid $800, each couch, obviously the reason of being so upset.  Never buy a couch with the cheap hanger looking zig-zagging covering the foam in the bag, if only I had known, they are nothing but junk!!!   Kimimurad@aol.com
