I am so ridiculously pissed of at LA fitness. Here's what happen to me.
I went into a local LA fitness in oakdale, MN to negotiate a membership with their sales reps, and they pressured me into signing up for a low discounted rate membership with an initiation fee of $309.57 which would allow me a rate of $19.99/month only. Well, as a matter of fact, this wasn't a problem for me. The problem was that they double charged me the $309.57 through my bank, which I didn't realize until the middle of the day. I quickly gave them a call and talked to my recruiter...he said that they will credit those funds back into my account within 2-business days. As expected after two business days, the funds weren't showing in my account. I went back to speak to them, as they said that their new rates for this month has expired and will update my contract, and so all I need to do is cancel my membership, and sign a new contract. I told them no, since I have been double charged, you guys told me that it will be automatically refunded which did not happen. I talk to a lady, and she said that it was my bank's fault. Which is clearly not that. I have still not received my funds, including cancellation funds. I am going to file a complaint, and wanted you all to be aware of their ways of getting money.
