I AM A SENIOR AT HIGH IN TEXAS. I NEVER BROUGHT A VERIZON PHONE OR HAD THERE SERVICE. i HAVE A METRO PCS CELLUAR PHONE. AND I HAVE BEEN ON MY MOM'S FAMILY PLAN FOR YEARS.ON MY CREDIT REPORT, I HAVE A $ 636.00 VERIZON BILL. I HAVE NEVER TALK, RECEIVE ANY BILLS, OR NOTICES FROM VERIZON. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DISPUTE IT. MY CREDIT IS MESS-UP FOR SOMETHING THAT I DID NOT DO!!!!

    Odds are that this is a Verizon account "erroneously" put there by AFNI.  They have a long record of attempting to collect old Verizon "debts" from the wrong people, including damaging their credit.

    If you have disputed the account through the credit reporting agencies, and Verizon or the debt collector has "verified" it despite it's not being your account, contact the Texas Attorney General for assistance.

    Texas has stronger laws on debt validation than most states, and AFNI is widely reported to routinely ignore or evade FDCPA validation requirements.  This makes them sitting ducks with a target painted on their chest.  The Texas AG should be helpful in quickly resolving this matter.

    Otherwise, contact a consumer attorney in Texas.
